Upcoming Changes to Law Enforcement Guide

History of the Application

This year, Law Enforcement Guide celebrated its sixth birthday. This application started simply because an app like it didn’t exist on Android devices. Not long after, we added an iOS version. The law library that we curated had to be collected and verified by hand, and then manually updated every year.

As time has gone on, the application has become harder to maintain, and we had to grow the team. We are up to seven members now, none of whom are paid for the labor of love that is Law Enforcement Guide. The revenue from the app store sales is used to keep the developer accounts current and the web servers running.

Feedback from Users

As you may have seen over the past few weeks, we ran an in-app survey asking you to share your feedback on the Law Enforcement Guide. We were blown away by the responses we received from our community. We are grateful for our respondents and their submissions. We found that many of you would appreciate new features and a more robust platform.

We plan on making our search functions more robust and have already begun processing keywords with artificial intelligence. We are adding a robust case law section that will also be searchable, as well as case law updates from various sources. Our app will grow with modern features that many other applications already utilize, and updates will happen much faster with the addition of a cloud-hosted database.

Our Plan

To make the application a platform that is exactly what our community wants, we have formulated a plan moving forward. The application will be moving to a subscription format. We plan to make sure that our existing customers receive credit for their previous purchases. We realize that we may lose some customers. With time, we hope that you will see the value of what we are building. This additional revenue will allow us to have a clearly defined roadmap for the application, change our internal development processes, and begin to formalize Gorillaware as a whole.

As an important part of this process, we realize that communicating with our customers is more important now than ever before. We have begun implementing a true agile development process and will be delivering new features as they are ready, and communicating these changes openly. You can keep an eye on the DevLog section of our website.

Expertise of the Team

Furthermore, we want our customers to know that two of our current members are active and sworn officers in Georgia, along with our CEO being a former law enforcement officer. Between the team, we have nearly thirty years of experience in the field. Our development team has over fifteen years of experience. We want to make the absolute best application for you and have the team to do it. Stay tuned to the Gorillaware website for our bios in the About Us section.
